GMJ - Get-me-jobs

GMJ is one of many Jobcase Network (JCN) satellite job board sites powered by the Jobcase platform. As all the JCN sites need a refresh in their individual brands, and UX/UI site experience, the team thought GMJ would be a good to start with. My role was to work with the stakeholders in designing a new front end experience.

Original get-me-jobs.com

Problem:
The original site was not only outdated but lacked simple modern elements and functionality. One major concern was that users thought site looked “spamy” and onsite engagement was not great. Mobile experience looked cramped, and pushed info below the fold. Brand awareness seem to be an afterthought, and needed to be polished up.

Key Objectives:
Creating a fresh and modern design, to compete with other job boards. To add/improve more elements, such as an interactive filter section, to help users narrow down specific jobs in their area. Overall have a site that catered more towards the user’s needs. Updating the brand, and improve UX/UI experience to increase site engagement.

Preliminary designs

Keeping with the current information being used for the job listings, I mocked up 3 layouts that organizes the job info differently on both desktop and mobile. Expanded on the filtering results, implemented job tags, and included company logos.

Final GMJ Design

After numerous iterations and collaborating with the performance marketing team, we landed on the design below. The updates include a new UI/UX design, company logos, information is more organized and easy to read, and a more interactive sort and filter section. After a few weeks of having the updated site live onsite engagement grew by 6%.
